Claudia Hess, MBA, AAA brings 40 years of experience as an art historian, curator, entrepreneur, educator, gallery owner, and art collector to her role as CEO of Hess Art Advisory.  

Hess Art Advisory provides a suite of expert services to private collectors, corporations, and institutions including the preparation of appraisal reports written in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), art advisory, fine art collection management with specialized curatorial support, and customized trust and estate strategic planning for the preservation and growth of a collection. 

Claudia is a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America and a veteran of countless blue chip art fairs.  Her extensive education includes an MBA, studies at the Sorbonne, and completion of New York University’s Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts Program.  As the owner of Worthington Gallery West, she developed deep expertise offering the finest works to museum curators, renowned collectors, and celebrities.  Claudia is an expert consultant on Californian, American, and European fine art from the 1800s to the present.  She is also a specialist in arts philanthropy and actively promotes arts philanthropy through her own charitable projects as well as educates others on successful strategies for arts philanthropy and art succession planning.​
